& Hegel Society of Great Britain Annual Conference. This year, the UKKS Conference was held in Oxford, in conjunction with the Hegel Society of Great Britain on 6-8th September. The keynote speakers were Karen Ng (Vanderbilt), Julia Peters (Heidelberg), Joe Saunders (Durham), and and Peter Dews (Essex). The conference details are online here. Annual Lecture and ECR Workshop, 2021The UK Kant Society recently hosted an online lecture by Professor Pauline Kleingeld (University of Groningen) on the topic of “Independence and Kant’s Positive Conception of Freedom”. This took place on September 21st at 15:00-17:00 BST.
We also hosted an early career workshop on Kant's positive conception of freedom the following week, on September 27th at 15:00-18:00 BST. Inaugural Online Lecture, 2020On September 15th, 2020, we hosted the inaugural UKKS Online Lecture. Patrick Frierson gave a paper on Autonomy and Discipline in Kant.
